The Midea Hiconics “HiEco” system is an integrated monitoring APP for residential application produced by HICONICS ECO-ENERGY DRIVE TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD., It provides monitoring and operation services. To illustrate how Midea Hiconics products collect, use and store your personal information and what rights you enjoy, we will explain the relevant issues through this guide.
The key points are as follows: We will explain one by one the types of personal information we collect from you and the corresponding purposes, so that you can understand what we collect, why we collect them and how we collect them.
When you use certain functions, we will collect your personal information upon your consent. For example, when you need to scan, we will obtain your permission for using the camera; when you add new devices, we will collect your precise location information. Unless the collection of such information is required by relevant laws and regulations, refusing to provide it will only result in your inability to use the relevant functions, but will not affect your use of other functions of Midea Hiconics products.

During your use of the services, we will collect and use the information that you proactively provide when using the services or the information generated as a result of using the services in the following ways:
1.1 When you register for the “HiEco” service, we will collect and use your name, phone number or email address. The purpose of collecting this information is to assist you in completing the registration function of “HiEco” and to protect the security of your account. If you don't provide this information, you may not be able to use our services normally. You can also choose to fill in information such as your username according to your own needs.
1.2 During your use of the Midea Hiconics products and services, in order to ensure the normal operation of the services, optimize the user experience and protect the security of your account, we will collect the basic information required for the Midea Hiconics products, including your device model, operating system, unique device identifier, login IP address, version number of Midea Hiconics products, network connection mode, type and status, network conditions, device accelerators (such as gravity sensors), operation logs, service logs and other information.
1.3 When you use the monitoring function, in order for your access to the complete monitoring data, we need to collect the product model and serial number (SN). Meanwhile, our monitoring system will collect the uploaded data for statistics and analysis.
1.4 When you add a product, the information will be uploaded and stored on our server so that you can use it when logging into the Midea Hiconics products on other devices. You can also modify this information at any time.
1.5 When you make a phone call in the APP, we will apply for the phone permission for you. The purpose of applying for this permission is only to help you suspend the phone dial pad and display the phone number so that you can make calls in the APP. Please rest assured that we will not obtain your phone number, call content or make calls without your knowledge. If you refuse to authorize the provision, you will not be able to use this function, but it will not affect your normal use of other functions of Midea Hiconics products.
1.6 When you contact our customer service staff, we may ask you to provide necessary personal information for verification purposes to ensure the security of your account. In order to provide services according to your needs, after you grant authorization, the customer service staff will need to query or verify your relevant information within the scope of your authorization. We will adopt technical and management measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of your information as much as possible and use the information within the necessary scope. We may also retain your contact information, the records and contents of your communications with us and other necessary information so as to provide and record customer services for you.
1.7 In accordance with the requirements of applicable laws, regulations and standards, we may collect and use your personal information without obtaining your consent in the following circumstances:

1.13 Please understand that the functions and services we provide to you are constantly updated and developed. If a certain function or service does not inform you of the processing rules for collecting and using your information in the aforementioned descriptions, we will separately inform you of the scope, purpose and method of information collection through page prompts, interactive programs, website announcements and other means to obtain your consent.

With the continuous development of its business, Hiconics may conduct transactions such as mergers and spin-offs. If the transfer of personal information is involved, we will inform you of the relevant situation and continue to protect or require the new processor to continue to protect your personal information.
The design of the “HiEco” enables you to easily access, change or delete your personal information, and revoke your consent to the use of your personal information and delete your account through the following steps. This policy may be updated, revised, amended or modified at any time according to circumstances.
